About me

I grew up in the Vale of Glamorgan and, thanks to my mum also being really keen, had my first pony when I was 6 and horses have remained a passion of mine to this day.
It took a while, but went on to mounted games and eventually discovered a love of show jumping. I became a riding instructor and after a short stint teaching in Germany, came back to the UK and freelanced, mainly working with competition riders.
I have also always had a love of arts and crafts, and started working with Horsehair from very young age, making tassels and other bits and pieces from normally pulled mane hair. Most of these have gone missing during various moves, though I still have a pentacle in my purse that I made probably 40 years ago. I started up this little business in 2010, and it’s gone from strength to strength.
I now live in West Wales in a beautiful cottage by the sea, although I no longer keep horses as I got a bit too old to fall off. But being ever the country girl at heart, I now have a lovely little flock of Bluefaced Leicester sheep, so still wearing wellies and mucking out (but with added lambing and shearing).
